A wide range of services are provided through contracted agencies for individuals who are unable to afford services due to limited or no income. 

Prevention Services are available at no-cost or low-cost to residents and include:     

  • Information Dissemination: Strategies that provide awareness and knowledge of the nature and extent of alcohol, tobacco and other drug use and the impact on individuals, families and the community.  
  • Education: Strategies that aim to affect critical life and social skills, including decision-making, refusal skills, and critical thinking skills. 
  • Community Based: Services aimed at enhancing the ability of the community to more effectively protect youth from substance use disorders. Examples: Multi-agency coordination and collaboration efforts, volunteer training and mobilization, and community drug-free coalition efforts.  
  • Environmental:  Strategies affecting written and unwritten community standards, codes, policies and attitudes that influence the incidence and prevalence of alcohol and other drug use disorders in the general population. 

Treatment Services are provided on a sliding fee scale.  Available services include: 

  • Screening, Assessment, Referral and Follow-up
  • Outpatient Treatment
  • Intensive Outpatient Treatment
  • Residential Treatment
  • Methadone Therapy
  • Sub-Acute Detoxification Programs
  • Addiction and Mental Illness, Co-Occurring Programs 
  • Adolescent Treatment
  • Hispanic Services - En Español

Substance use disorder services are available to all individuals in the community. Preference for admission into a treatment program will be given to:

  • Pregnant women who inject drugs
  • Pregnant women who use substances
  • Injecting drug users
  • Parents whose child has been removed from the home, or at risk of being removed by Child Protective Services because of a parental substance use disorder.

LCC's substance use disorder treatment programs also provide services to reduce the risk of HIV/AIDS, hepatitis B and C, tuberculosis and other infectious diseases for persons receiving substance use disorder treatment services.
