The primary source of substance use disorder trainings in Michigan are hosted by the MI-PTE whose mission is to provide exceptional, cost-effective,  treatment and prevention training to prepare the field to deliver the highest quality of services to Michigan's residents.
Training is supported by a contract with the Michigan Department of Community Health, Office of Drug Control Policy.   Trainings hosted by the MI-PTE provide contact hours approved by the Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals.  To access information about available trainings click here for treatment and click here for prevention

Distance Learning Opportunities (On-line courses)
One objective of the SATP is to identify learning opportunities that offer affordable and accessible training.  This is especially important for individuals and agencies whose geographic location and/or staffing patterns make attendance at face-to-face workshops problematic.  The following distance learning sources are provided without any implied or expressed endorsement of specific course merits.
Many of the courses found on line can be applied to meet the Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP) requirements for various certification levels.  Requirements in relation to distance learning and MCBAP Certifications can be found online at http://www.mcbap.com/
